A girl, Mayuka, appears one day claiming to be Tenchi's daughter, much to the shock of the Masaki household. Chaos ensues as Washu attempts to discover Mayuka's background, and the girls adjust to the new presence at their home. The result of her appearance reaches back into the past, and puts Tenchi in danger. Tenchi and Ryoko must travel into the realm of a demon called Yuzuha in order to try and set things right, but their task is not an easy one.

High school student Takeru Takemoto works part time as a (motor)bike courier. During one of his deliveries, he saw a mysterious light passing him and fell into a forest. What he had found was a beautiful girl coming out from a glowing cocoon, calling herself "Hikari." While Takeru was quite embarrassed because of Hikari's nudity, a strange monster suddenly showed up and immediately attacked the two. She is eventually found by a high school student named Takeya Ikuhara, who saves her from being hit by a truck and takes pity on her, despite being extremely distrustful of their race and wanting nothing to do with them. Upon being named Ren, she imprints upon him as her "Master" and serves as his personal "Slave," leaving him with a "DearS" who wants to remain with him no matter what and bringing his ordinary, alien-free days to an end.
