The Ashihara Zuiho province is ruled by the Emperor and led by an organization with two departments, eight ministries, the Imperial Prosecuting and Investigating Office, and the Goefu. A young man, born and raised in the mountainside and dispatched to the imperial capital as a military officer, threw away the name given to him by his parents and was given the name "Hiren".
At the imperial capital, Hiren works for the people who ask for his help. Hiren would eventually work under a girl named Yukishiro, who is part of the Chief Court Physician Bureau. This girl, despite being a commoner, puts a stop to the schemes of aristocrats—committed through poisoning—as part of her greater purpose. Notorious for mercilessly pursuing and destroying her enemies, this girl is known as the Witch of the Chief Court Physician Bureau, she sets her sights on the aristocrats that she consider an eyesore.
As soon as Hiren and Yukishiro discover symptoms of poisoning from the information brought to them by their trusted friends, their investigation begins.

4. Ishi no Hana
Here again is a work of Sakaguchi which demonstrates (if there is still any need) the immense talent of this author. This time, he's produced a historical manga, which unfolds in Yugoslavia during World War II... It's not especially happy, and I fear things will not work out in the end.
Increasingly fascinating. This takes the form of a grand mosaic with five or six principal characters. Not at all Manichaean [seeing the world in black and white, lacking nuance], full of sensitivity.
