In a world where all feeling is artificial and where everyone is a potential drug addict, nothing has really changed: the excess is near at hand and very few substances are considered dangerous and put under strict control by a hygiene office, which has full power over the drug addicts who are in an extreme condition.
The main character is Kabu, a little peddler and heavily addicted. Used to any kind of hallucinogenic trip, he is able to feel
happiness through the ecstasy of the drug, while at the same time hypocritically hating those who gave birth to this society which has forced him to excess.
After an overdose caused by mixing two incompatible drugs, he spends his days looking for stimulants until he encounters an enigmatic man who offers him a new kind of illegal substance: UltraHeaven.
From that moment his incredible journey begins, where dream and reality are fused in an undivided world, causing him hysterical or joyful reactions and unrestrained pains.
But what really is UltraHeaven and who's really behind it? And who is the guru who is promoting meditation as a powerful way to influence the whole universe surrounding us?
With the help of a special amplifier helmet, Kabu starts a trip into the deep and hidden layers of his consciousness, diving into a nightmare he would otherwise never discover...

In a nondescript lounge, a blonde-haired man plays a game of pool, unaware of the maddening trial he is about to face. A moment later, he catches a monstrous fish which swallows him whole. Coming to again, he awakens on the floor of a ring, now the contestant of a boxing match in a packed arena.
Again and again the man finds himself in entirely new locations, each time the center of a different conflict. With no end in sight, the man moves through time and space across different dimensions with only one recurring word to connect them: Spinoza.

Two brothers wearing bunnysuits hop on a phallic train and travel to a mysterious underwater brothel.

4. Garden
"Garden" is a collection of Furuya Usamaru's “indie” shorts that were published in Comic Cue, Manga Erotics and GARO respectively. The title is obviously a reference to Hieronymus Bosch’s famous triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, with the first story being a homage to said painting. The other stories range from absurd comedies to fantasy to horror. It’s a very eclectic mixture, but make no mistake: artistically, Garden might just be Furuya’s most accomplished work after The Music of Marie.

2. Nijigahara Holograph
Suzuki is a troubled boy. He's lived with uncaring foster parents for most of his life, alienated from the other kids at his school, owner of a cynical, unhappy mentality. Komatsuzaki is a violent, unpredictable bully whose head trauma causes him to act in mysterious, inexplicable ways.
Arakawa is a no-nonsense, normal girl who pines after Komatsuzaki but can never have him. A teacher with just one working eye. A mother who committed suicide. A daughter in an endless coma. Attempted rapes, murders, extortion, sexual deviance, and a freakish explosion in the butterfly population. All of these elements are whirled together in a story spanning 10 years, a tale of blackness, pain and apocalypse. And maybe just a bit of hope and redemption.
It's a spiritual cross between the misanthropic suburban malevolence of Kyoko Okazaki's Rivers Edge and the eerie mysticality of Donnie Darko.
